look! up in the sky!

Well 2006 is coming to an end. And this morning, I woke up and checked out my NetVibes homepage. In case you're not familiar with NetVibes, it is awesome! You can organize all the blogs and news feeds you frequent into tabs on a simple page. When you log into the site, it will go grab the latest 5 - 15 stories from each post and display them for you. It will show you how many new posts or news stories there are.

So anyway, I went there this morning and found yet another link to the Super-Hero Personaility Test. Being a web developer, I've seen this thing about 4 million times. I've never done it though. Knowing myself, I figured I'd be some lame hero like Aquaman or The Atom.

But today I broke down. You know the old marketing mantra - "After 4 million touches..."

So, here it is. I must say that I can't complain about the results. I would rather be Spider Man or Batman, but this is certainly better than I expected:

Your results: You are Superman

You are mild-mannered, good,
strong and you love to help others

introducing the newest griffin!

It's official! We have officially adopted the foster baby that we've had for two years. Until now, we've been unable to post any photos or talk too much about him because of state regulation. But all that's changed now. Introducing...

Josiah James Griffin

When we got "JoJo" from the hosptial, he was one month old and weighed 5 lbs. When he was born, he weighed only 3 lbs and almost died from complications related to his mother's heroine use. This pic was taken immediately after we go him home.

But Jo bounced back strong. He gained weight and caught up quickly with other babies his age. This pic is from when he was auditioning for a mariachi gig ;)

We never really planned on getting into fostering. Until a couple years ago, we thought our family was complete. It's funny how life unfolds.

So join us is welcoming Josiah James into the family!
